2024 YEAR IN REVIEW
In 2024, we celebrated incredible milestones, including the launch of our 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, which strengthens our foundation for growth while staying responsive to community needs. Thanks to your support, Fiesta of Hope 2024 raised over $204,000, exceeding all expectations! We also embraced inclusivity by joining the Portland Pride Parade for the first time and welcomed 48 new hires, growing our team to 141. Serving over 17,000 people annually in Washington County, Oregon, we remain dedicated to empowering our community through holistic programs.

As we prepare to welcome a new year, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible accomplishments, moments of joy, and deep connections that defined this past year. At the same time, we look ahead with hope, determination, and a steadfast commitment to the children, families, and community we serve.
New Board Members 2024
We are proud that a majority of our Board of Directors reflect the community we serve. 61% of our board members identify as Latine, and 78% identify as women. Most importantly, 100% of our board members are dedicated to our mission, committed to our community, and make thoughtful decisions on behalf of the organization!
Celebrating the Graduation of our Academia de Inmigración 2024
We recently celebrated the graduation of our Academia de Conocimientos Básicos de Inmigración 2024, a program designed to educate and empower our immigrant community by expanding their knowledge and understanding of immigration policies that impact us directly or indirectly.
A Night of Celebrating Hope | Fiesta of Hope 2024
On June 21st, 2024, Castaway Portland once again hosted Fiesta of Hope, an annual fundraiser integral to the mission of Adelante Mujeres. This vibrant event brought together a diverse and enthusiastic crowd united in their support for empowering Latine women and their families. The night was nothing short of magical, filled with energy, heartfelt moments, and a profound sense of solidarity.

At Adelante Mujeres, we pride ourselves on being a lantern of hope for Latine women and their families in Washington County. This year, we took our commitment to inclusivity and solidarity further by participating in the Portland Pride Parade! This action reflects our unwavering support and celebration of our LGBTQ+ Latine immigrant community members.
Rising Together: Honoring our 2023-2024 Adult Education Participants
As the academic year ended, our Adult Education program celebrated remarkable milestones: Martha Aidé García and Erika Rodríguez, founders of the adult classroom at Barnes Elementary School in the Beaverton School District, proudly earned their GEDs.
